Five acres of grassland was burnt after a fire broke out at a country park near Ilford.
Around 25 firefighters and four fire engines were called to the scene in Forest Road, Barkingside.
There were no reported injuries, according to London Fire Brigade.
The brigade was called at 3.19pm and the grass fire was under control about four hours later.
It has not been confirmed how the fire started.
Crews from the Ilford, Woodford and Dagenham fire stations were at the scene.
