Cakes iced to pipped perfection and aromatic creamy coffee were served up at one church fund raiser on Saturday.
St Peter’s Church, Aldborough Road North, Newbury Park had the coffee morning and jumble sale to raise money for heating and lighting the church.
More than 60 people went along to peruse the Easter cars and other goodies which raised more than £250.
Ron Jeffries, 80, from the church, said: “It brings people together socially and they have a coffee and cake together. It was a lovely atmosphere.”
The morning was organised by the committee which consists of 12 people,
