Messages of condolences have been shared for a drill rapper understood to be one of two people shot dead in an Ilford shooting.
The Metropolitan Police say they are “not yet in a position” to publicly confirm the identities of two men, aged 23 and 30, who were killed in Henley Road at 12.16am yesterday (Tuesday, October 25).
However the Recorder understands that drill rapper “Giddy”, part of a group called Drillford, was among one of the victims.
UPDATE:
Friends named the victim as his Instagram page was flooded with comments such as “R.I.P”.
The musician, of Somali heritage, is understood to have been part of a turf war with a rival east London gang.
Speculation has spread online about the identity of the second victim, but it has not been confirmed.
