Armed police attended a KFC in Goodmayes after a group of youths were allegedly spotted with knives and a firearm.
At around 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, February 14), the Met received a call reporting the group at the Grove Farm Retail Park.
According to the Met, the group was found in KFC and "kept under observation".
At around 7.15pm, one of the group was seen to leave and was challenged by armed officers who arrested him.
They then entered KFC just before 8pm after receiving information that the group had been seen with another firearm.

Police said one of the males was tasered but that he did not require any medical treatment.
There were no injuries to any members of the public.
Police said they recovered two firearms and arrested five males in relation to the incident.
