An 18-year-old man has been charged after a series of controversial Tik Tok videos went online.
Bacari-Bronze O’Garro of Manor Road, Hackney, was arrested on Monday (May 22) after police investigated footage of several “distressing” incidents including a man entering addresses without the owner’s permission.
Other videos featured unsolicited approaches towards members of the public in the street or on transport.
O'Garro was held in police custody on suspicion of causing a public nuisance.
He has now been charged with failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice and is due to appear in Thames Magistrates' Court today.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway of the Central East Command Unit, which covers Hackney and Tower Hamlets, said: “Understandably there has been extensive comment on this case in the media and on social media.
"Now that an individual has been charged, I would ask that the judicial process be respected and allowed to take it’s proper course.”
