A 17-year-old boy has died after a stabbing in Westminster.

The incident happened in Paddington Green just after 1.40pm today (June 19).

Police, London Ambulance Service crews, and an air ambulance attended and found a boy injured.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2.15pm.

His next of kin have been informed.

Police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

No arrests have been made following the incident. 

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A murder investigation is underway following a stabbing in Westminster.

“Police were called at 1.41pm on Monday, 19 June, to reports of a stabbing in Paddington Green, W2.

“Officers attended the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

“They found a male – believed aged 17 - with a stab wound.

"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 2.15pm. 

“Next of kin have been informed.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. No arrests have been made.
