One man has been arrested and another is in a critical condition in hospital after a crash in Gants Hill.
At around 3.30pm today (Monday, June 26), emergency services attended the collision in Cranbrook Road, at the junction of Martley Drive, Ilford.
The Met Police said a vehicle that had failed to stop for police was in collision with a moped.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended and the rider of the moped - a man in his 20s - was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
The LAS said he was treated for pelvis and spinal injuries and the Met confirmed that he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
According to police, he was not seriously injured and will be taken into police custody.
There are no other reports of injuries and road closures remain in place.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue, said the Met.
An LAS spokesperson added: "We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, a paramedic on a motorcycle and an incident response officer to the scene.
"We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance."
