A swastika has been pictured graffitied on the seat of a tube train in London amid the ongoing conflict in Israel and the border of Gaza.
The swastika, which was used as a symbol of Nazism, was graffitied on the seat of a Northern Line Underground train.
Police believe the graffiti was created on Wednesday, October 10.
British Transport Police has increased its patrols across the railway network following Hamas' terror attack in Israel.
The force added that they “will not tolerate hate crime”.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016, or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 200 of 12/10/23.
The incident was also reported to Community Security Trust (CST), a charity that protects British Jews from antisemitism and related threats.
Dave Rich, Director of Policy at CST, said: “This offensive, antisemitic graffiti has been reported to CST and we hope that it will be swiftly removed.
"There is never any excuse for anti-Jewish hatred, and we encourage anyone who witnesses or experiences antisemitism to report it to police and to CST.”
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of anti-semitic graffiti on the seat of a Northern Line Underground train which is believed to have taken place on Wednesday 10 October.
"We will not tolerate hate crime and we have recently increased our patrols across the railway network in response to the ongoing conflict in Israel and the border of Gaza.
"Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact BTP By texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 200 of 12/10/23.”
