Neighbours in Woodford became worried after a car on their street burst into flames, leaving a man in hospital.
London Fire Brigade received the first of 15 calls from residents at 9.12pm on October 12.
In a video posted by Instagram page IG1IG3, the car can be seen engulfed in flames as worried neighbours look on.
Firefighters from Woodford attended the blaze in Lechmere Avenue with an ambulance crew.
They managed to have the flames under control by 9.25pm.
The cause of the fire is not known, according to the brigade, but it appears to have started after a crash.
The ambulance service were called with reports of a "road traffic collision" and dispatched a team.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “We treated a patient for leg injuries and took him to hospital.”
The extent of the man's injuries are unknown.
