A Redbridge park has been voted as one of the top ten parks in the UK.
For the first time ever, Hainault Forest was chosen by voters for a People's Choice accolade, run by those behind the Green Flag Award.
More than 21,000 park users cast their vote as part of the 2023 People’s Choice Awards.
The park is one of nine in Redbridge and has previously received a Green Flag award, given to well-maintained, accessible, and biodiverse parks.
Hainault Forest, run by Vision RCL, has recently undergone a £7million development that created a new visitor hub and event space, a café, artist workshops, a Woodland Trust visitor centre, as well as a complete renovation of the Victorian barns.
Chair of Vision trustees, Martin Solder, said: "We're honoured to have received this award; over the last few years, Hainault Forest has seen significant investments in facilities thanks to our funders and has now been recognised as one of the best top ten parks in the UK for the first time.
“Hainault Forest is an asset to our community, and we're committed to ensuring it remains a vibrant and accessible space for all."
