A man died after emergency services were scrambled to an 'unwell' person near a park.
The London Ambulance Service has confirmed it was called to Cranbrook Road in Ilford, near an entrance to Valentines Park, this morning.
A spokesperson said: "We were called at 10.20am today (29 December) to reports of a person unwell in Cranbrook Road, Ilford.
“We sent an ambulance crew, three paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene."
The first responder arrived within five minutes to start first aid. Despite their efforts, the ambulance service said the man died at the scene.
Worried Facebook users sent the man well wishes. One user said: "I just hope that the guy who is lying down at the entrance of Valentine's Park is going to be saved. Prayers".
