A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash in Ilford.
Police were called to reports that a car had crashed with a pedestrian in Winston Way at around 2.45pm this afternoon (June 14).
A man, who was found injured at the scene, was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the car was uninjured, and has spoken to police.
No arrests have been made and Winston Road remains shut while investigation work continues.
Long delays have been reported in the area. A total of 16 bus routes have been placed on a diversion.
