Ilford welcomed more than 10,000 visitors and 30 market traders to celebrate Eid.

The inIlford Eid celebration, run by Ilford Business Improvement District (BID), took place in Ilford High Road on June 22.

More than 10,000 visitors joined in the festivities, including 2,500 attendees who were new to the area.

More than 30 food, beverage, and craft market traders were set up along High Road.

Entertainment included dhol drumming, Bollywood dancing, steel pan music, and performances by artists such as Neebz and Kaylasings.

The event ran from 10am until 10pm.

Cyril Bekoe, Ilford BID manager, said: "I am extremely pleased with the delivery of our first ever inIlford EID Markets and Fair Rides event.

"The event was made possible by our business stakeholders in Ilford town centre and our partners the London Borough of Redbridge."

He added that the new Ilford market gazebos were used at the event, and that they were "warmly received" by the community.
