A teenager's mother has said she is "filled with emotion" after her son was picked to star alongside world famous actors in this summer's blockbuster film. 

Aydin Ahmed, who lives in Ilford, has secured a role as Kevin Chipman in the new Marvel ‘Deadpool and Wolverine' released this month.

The 14-year-old actor who has a passion for all things theatre and film, joined a star-studded cast including Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in this highly anticipated film.

Aydin, who has been performing and acting since he was five attended Jigsaw Performing Arts classes.

He was first recognised for his talent when he played the role of Bruce Bogtrotter in Matilda the West End musical in 2022.

He will be joining the creative and performing arts college, The Brit School in Croydon, from September to study for his GCSE’s.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to be the biggest film of the year, with a storyline that promises to bring in new and dedicated Marvel fans alike.

Aydin’s family and friends are incredibly proud of him and were thrilled to see him on the big screen when he was invited to the cast and crew viewing the day before the film was released in the UK.

His mother, Sharan Kaur said: "From watching Aydin sing pitch perfect at age 1, to thriving in a grassroots drama club, Jigsaw Performing Arts, I'm so proud and filled with emotion seeing him in THE Marvel movie of 2024".

Jigsaw Arts Management, based in London, represents children from across the Jigsaw Performing Arts Schools which will celebrate their 30th anniversary next year.
