An M25 lane is closed for emergency repairs after both a van and a car were on fire.
Lane one of four on the M25 clockwise just after junction 27 is closed this morning (August 22) after chaos on the motorway yesterday.
On Wednesday (August 21), two lanes were closed on the same carriageway between junction 27 and junction 28 due to a vehicle fire.
Later in the day, junction 28 and junction 29 was closed after a reported crash near Brentwood, as one man was rushed to Queen’s Hospital for “further assessment and care”.
But according to AA Roadwatch, there were two reported fires between junction 27, by junction 6 of the M11 in Epping, and junction 28 by Brentwood and Romford.
It says after a van was on fire in the afternoon, a car was on fire overnight in “exactly the same place”.
As a result the lane is closed this Thursday morning for resurfacing.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travelling.
