Two people were rushed to hospital after a crash on the M25.

Emergency services were called to junction 28 on the M25, near Brentwood, this morning (September 26) at 5.56am.

The Metropolitan Police says that three lorries and a van were involved.

One person was taken to Queens Hospital and one person was taken to The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine for further care.

Police elaborated that the driver and passenger of the van were taken to hospital for treatment and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. There were no other reported injuries.

The M25 has been closed anticlockwise for more than four hours at the time of publication.

There are severe delays from junction 28 A12 at Brentwood and Brook Street Roundabout to junction 27 M11.

Congestion has also built up to the Dartford Crossing, with holds to prevent queues inside the tunnel.

It has also caused long delays into London on the A12, A13, A127 and M11.
