A person has died on train tracks near Barkingside Tube station.
The Central line was part-suspended this afternoon (September 30) after reports of a “casualty on the tracks”.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) said that they were called to reports of a person hit by a train at Barkingside Tube station just after 1.30pm.
A LAS spokesperson confirmed that the person died at the scene.
The central line remains suspended between Hainault and Newbury Park at this time, with minor delays reported on the rest of the line.
The incident comes on the same day that a District line train derailed, causing severe delays between Barking and Upminster.
