Police have released new footage of a man they want to trace in connection with a fatal shooting in Ilford four years ago.
The CCTV video has been released on the four-year anniversary of Jason Diallo's death on November 1, 2020.
The 30-year-old was found with multiple injuries in Balfour Road at around 10.15pm before he was pronounced dead.
A witness who spoke with police claimed they had seen Jason cycling in the road before he was knocked from his bike by a car and shot in the head by its occupants.
His family told police he was a "devoted father of two who had the softest heart“.
Around 15 minutes after Jason was shot, police were alerted to a second shooting five miles away in Garvary Road, Canning Town.
A 27-year-old man had been shot in his shoulder.
He was taken to hospital and told police that he had been followed by three men in a car who began shooting at him.
Two men have been convicted and sentenced for their involvement.
On June 14, 2022, Mushin Mohamed, 28, of Leytonstone Road E15 was found guilty of murder and attempted murder at the Old Bailey.
He was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 35 years.
Tyrelle Joseph, 24, of Banks Way E12 was found guilty of assisting an offender and jailed for seven years for helping Mohamed and the unidentified suspects leave the scene.
A further two suspects believed to have been involved with the shootings have yet to be identified.
Detectives have released footage of a man they wish to speak to in connection to the investigation.
Information that leads to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for the murder of Jason and the shooting of the 27-year-old will be rewarded with up to £20,000.
Det Chf Insp Kelly Allen said: “Our enquiries have found no evidence to suggest that Jason Diallo or the attempted murder victim were known to one another or those convicted, suggesting that this was a completely unprovoked and violent incident.
“We are now in a position to release an image of this man, who we would like to speak with in connection with this ongoing investigation.
