Police investigating the murder of Turkish national ‘Boxer Cetin’ whose body was found in Epping Forest, have arrested two people.

Officers arrested a 22-year-old man on Wednesday - he was bailed later that day to a date in late October.

Yesterday, officers arrested a 40-year-old man also on suspicion of murder.

He is in custody at an east London police station.

On September 9 police were called at 7.05pm to Epping Forest, after a member of the public reported having found a body.

The body had been partially buried, close to Hollow Ponds, off Whipps Cross Road, Snaresbrook.

The victim was identified as Hidir Aksakal, 53, who lived in Margate, Kent. He was also known as Musa Yakut, but most commonly by the nickname ‘Boxer Cetin’.

A post-mortem examination was carried out at Walthamstow Mortuary on September 7 - the cause of death was determined as gunshot wounds.

The last known sighting of Cetin was in Green Lanes, Haringey, north London, in the early hours of August 17 - an area of London that Mr Aksakal had strong links to.
