Netflix has revealed the release date of Squid Game’s real-life competition and there’s not long to wait.
Fans of the drama Squid Game have been given an opportunity to apply to take part in Squid Game: The Challenge.
The competition will involve a warehouse which is used to construct an elaborate set where contestants battle through a series of games, inspired by the original show.
There are 10 parts and entrants will try to win a prize of 4.56 million dollars (£3,736,054) and there will be 456 real players entering the game.
Contestants are eliminated in each round when their strategies, alliances and character are put to the test.
However, Netflix confirmed when it announced the show in 2022 that the players won’t face the deadly consequences of the drama series.
Instead, their worst fate will be going home empty-handed.
The game gets real.
