Dagenham & Redbridge boss Ben Strevens felt his side were very hard done by in their National League defeat at Aldershot.
Charley Kendall netted their first goal in almost seven hours when converting a pass from full debutant Freddie Sears to open his account for the club.
But Cian Harries levelled from the penalty spot after Elliot Justham was adjudged to have fouled Tyler Frost, and Daggers saw Sam Ling sent off in first-half stoppage time for bringing down Joshua Stokes.
"Both are wrong decisions. I've seen them back," Strevens told the club website.
"I stood there on Tuesday and said I thought we had a penalty, I watched it back, we should've had a penalty at Halifax.
"Today, Els clearly gets a touch on it, it goes out, deviates towards the corner flag, the referee is in the right position, his linesman flags for it.
"Then they're breaking and the lad has slid in, so has Lingy and at that moment when they've both slid in together, there is going to be a collision.
"Lingy is not going to slide in from five yards away and go into someone on purpose.
"No understanding of football at that moment. There's no intention for Lingy to collide into him, they've collided together, both tried probably pulling out of it, at the same time they've gone in together.
"It's just understanding football. At the moment some people don't understand football and they're being allowed to impact things."
Stokes fired Shots in front early in the second half, but Daggers drew level when Sears fired into the top corner.
The 10 men could not hold on, though, as Kwame Thomas headed home a last-minute winner fro the home side.
"Some key moments went against us," added Strevens.
"We thought Charley was doing really well up there with Freddie but obviously going down to 10 men we had to change it slightly.
"Hilly [Ryan Hill] had to come off. We wanted to get Freddie off but we just couldn't get him off.
"He's played 112 minutes there today, we wanted to get him off but couldn't because of Hilly feeling something as well.
"The changes were part tactical and part decisions you make within the game.
"I'm disappointed for the boys, especially second half, they couldn't have given anything more for the team, the club.
"The way they worked for each other, the moments we still caused them on the counter attack.
"I didn't think we were as good as I wanted us to be in the first half, probably created three or four chances but I didn't think we were good enough.
"Second half I saw a lot more bravery on the ball, I'm just about gutted other things certainly added to the reason why we lost that game."
Defeat left Daggers with just two points from a possible 18 ahead of a visit from York City to Victoria Road on Tuesday.
And Strevens hopes their luck changes soon, adding: "I have to believe it does. Collectively as a group they can't do any more.
"I'm as proud of that second-half performance as I am in any moment this season when we've won or lost.
"I felt we should've been better first half, but second half they couldn't have offered any more."
