Club also set to move home ahead of new Shepherd Neame Essex League season
Hainault & Clayhall will be known as Frenford next season after the Shepherd Neame Essex League club announced a name change that will take affect from January 2019.
In a statement issued on Monday, the club also revealed they would be moving from their current Jack Carter Pavilion home off Fencepiece Road in Barkingside to the Jack Carter Centre in The Drive, Ilford.
Hainault did also confirm that the club would remain members of the Shepherd Neame Essex League following the name change.
The statement read: “From January 2019, Hainault & Clayhall CC will be renamed to Frenford Cricket Club.
“We will also be moving to our new home ground, which is the Jack Carter Centre (The Drive, Ilford) The status of the club hasn’t changed.”
Last season was one of disappointment for Hainault as they suffered relegation from Shepherd Neame Essex League Division One in their first term back at that level.
